LogScan® OFF is a system that is installed at the infeed of twin saws or chipper-canter, which allows to control the cutting width and the centering of the cutting width automatically.
LogScan® OFF, determines the position of the axis of the piece on the chain, to process and send the data to the controllers of the saws and thus modify their cutting width positions in a symmetrical way.
- Set up based on selection of optimization criteria, product concept, sawmill parameterization.
- System software allows on-screen display of geometrical parameters, a graphical display of the slice and archiving of the information in a database, under Windows environment.
- Ethernet connection to obtain reports and/or configure the system.
- Output signals for interconnection to saw positioning controllers, visual and audible alarms to the operator.
- Measured length and nominal length.
- Diameter thin end, thick end, minimum, maximum, useful or JAS.
- Actual volume (smalian) and JAS.
- Curvature or crook and taper of the piece.
- Statistical information on screen, total number of pieces processed in the shift, total accumulated volume in the shift.
- Production reports, slice by slice, stoppages, other options.
