Pyro Tempera
FOR PEIRCE SMITH CONVERTER
Pyro Tempera
Pyro CPS is a system for measuring the temperature of molten copper inside a Peirce-Smith converter (CPS).
Pyro CPS allows, through the capture of images of the radiation from an area of the molten copper bath, to deliver temperature data continuously and on-line.
The Pyro CPS system performs a matrix temperature measurement, in which each pixel of the captured image has a temperature data associated to the displayed surface portion; this is equivalent to having thousands of pyrometers pointing to the area.
- Continuous, on-line monitoring of the molten copper bath.
- Determination of bath temperature at the shaft blowing and slag stages.
- Definition of multiple zones of interest within the image.
- Automatic extraction in the face of very adverse conditions such as copper spatter and/or gases.
- Image of the copper bath with user-defined zones of interest.
- Tabular display of maximum, minimum and average temperatures of the zones of interest.
- Trend graphs, with clear definition of blowing and slag stages.
- Status of system operational parameters.
